Excellence in Innovation ! Probably the most coveted prize at the 13th Masters of Time awards ceremony organized by DFS Group in Macau on 3 December.

HYT Watches had the unique honour and pleasure of receiving the Excellence in Innovation award for its celebrated 'Moon Runner Supernova Blue' watch creation – a significant recognition from clients, connoisseurs and collectors in the region.

The awards ceremony took place at the major Masters of Time watch exhibition, which is open to the public, at the prestigious T Galleria by DFS, Shoppes at Four Seasons, in Macau. It was also an opportunity to discover an installation of 15 NFT digital artworks in collaboration with the artists Pixsims and Didu Didu.

A blue moon, levitating, at the heart of the instrument…

Innovation! Excellence! Concentrated technology! To celebrate its 10th anniversary, HYT unveiled a new opus in 2022: the ‘Moon Runner’, a watch that proposes a new way of perceiving the phases of the Moon. Presented in the shades of blue characteristic of the ‘Moon Runner Supernova Blue’ version, Earth’s satellite, large and voluminous appears at the centre of the watch; the suspended bridge allows a circular display around its perimeter. Two titanium indicator discs show the days and months, with a large minute hand and markers every 5 minutes – and, as always, the retrograde hours materialised by HYT's patented meca-fluidic technology.

A Hydro Carbon and Tec Light® case. A powerful diameter of 48 millimetres. The ‘Moon Runner Supernova Blue’ is powered by a hand-wound mechanical movement, the calibre 601-MO (41 jewels) beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of 72 hours. This calibre was designed by Eric Coudray, a recognised master of the discipline. Under the direction of Pur TEC and with the assistance of Paul Clementy, the second winner of the Gaïa Prize, the movement was given a new aesthetic and finishing touch, with particularly elegant satin-finishings and parts treated by laser or microblasting.

At a time when the dream of discovering the universe is regaining all its magic and momentum, at the very moment when the desire to travel into space is being rekindled as a tangible and concrete reality, the Moon Runner Supernova Blue takes its wearer to the infinite and beyond.
